by Stefan Schmidt
This web site provides information
about taxonomy, biology, and distribution of Australian Encarsia
species attacking the silverleaf whitefly, Bemisia
tabaci (Gennadius), and the greenhouse whitefly, Trialeurodes vaporariorum (Westwood). The genus Encarsia contains species which are important biological control agents of whiteflies and scale insects.
The pictorial key allows identification of slide mounted specimens of Encarsia
species known to parasitise silverleaf and greenhouse whitefly in Australia and the Pacific region.
