There are 9
families of Diplura found across the world, consisting of about
800 species. In Australia just 5 of these families are represented
with only 31 different species.
The families Campodeidae and Projapygidae contain those species
with filamentous cerci while those in the families Japygidae, Heterojapygidae
and Parajapygidae have pincer-like cerci. Follow the links below
